The Simple Life

Do you ever have those days when you stop and think, "I love my life"? I've been having those days a lot lately. Date night tonight consisted of errands, a quick trip to Costco and frozen yogurt. Exciting huh? It is for me. I love being with Scott and my kids, even if it is running errands. I feel blessed and content.

Scott's getting closer to graduation. Come April our lives will see big changes, again. Our future is still unknown, but I am certain I will miss the simple life we enjoy right now.

Being poor college students has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I am not going to lie...I had my doubts when Scott told me he wanted to go back to school, in Utah of all places. We were so comfortable in Vegas and life was good. But Scott had a prompting and we followed it and you know what? Life has been better, much better.

Even though we have had to "cut back" on many of the luxuries we grew accustomed to, we are more fulfilled. Funny how that works. There IS joy in simplified living. I hope I always remember that and this feeling.

When i finish school?? We are staying forever. and i'll just keep taking classes. College life is simple. College life in Laie, Hawaii is super simple. I don't want real life and fast driving cars. We like the 35 mph speed limit just fine
