Updates...

My Blurb books came in the mail a little bit ago and I LOVE them! I did one for 2007 and 2008 and I am so thrilled to have such fun family journals for keepsakes. I strongly reccomend these to anyone that has been thinking about it, they are so worth it.

Scott is getting ready to register for his 2nd and last year in the MBA program. I can't believe how fast these past two semesters have gone. He loves this program and I am so proud of how hard he is working. He will be done in April and then he will be doing an internship somewhere...not sure where yet. We are kind of hoping he gets one in Las Vegas so we don't have to be apart all summer, which was the plan if he got one somewhere else. I didn't think it would be best to pick up the two kids and move them to a strange place especially since we wouldn't be taking all of our things. Internships are usually only 10-12 weeks and I can't fathom moving all of our stuff for such a short period of time. So, I have been planning to have a nice, long stay in Vegas this summer and hopefully Scott gets to join me! We'll see...

Caden is hilarious! He is fiercely independent which gets him into a lot of trouble, but he keeps me laughing most of the time. He is really into learning his letters right now (it's about time he showed some interest) and we spend a good portion of our day quizzing each other. He is still the master negotiator and can pretty much work me with the little deals he comes up with. I am such a sucker! This last weekend my lil' sister was up visiting and we were going through a carwash. Here is our conversation...

Caden - "Mom, does Heavenly Father have to go to the bathrooom"?

Me - "Um, I don't think he needs to use the potty in heaven".

Caden, "What? Heavenly Father doesn't have a bum'?

Abbie...well, I just can't get enough of her! She is growing up so quickly and I can't believe how much she changes every day. She is FINALLY starting to sleep a little better. Her naps are getting longer and although she isn't sleeping through the night yet, I usually only have to get up with her once. I can't tell you how big of a relief this has been and how much more sane I am these days! Just in the last month she started sitting up, scooting and even saying "dadda" although she doesn't know what it means yet. Of couse, I am working really hard with her to say "mama" since I am determined to be her favorite- Scott has always been Caden's parent of choice. She's a doll and I kiss her about a million times a day!

I am busy most of the time, but I am really enjoying this phase in our lives. I have said this many times before, but life slows down here in Midway and I am taking advantage of that. I am patiently waiting for the snow to melt and the beautiful green grass to reappear so we can enjoy the perfect spring weather before we head to Vegas for the HOT summer.

That pic of Abbie is darling!

I hope Scott gets that internship in Vegas. I am dealing with the single parenting now, and it isn't easy...hence the move to my parents!!! Funny. Time has flown by. I can't believe you are half way done.

BTW, good idea on the blog name change. I will need to remember that.

Love abbies picture, she is so pretty. Caden is a crack up. Also, I went to the blub website and thought it was pretty cool but can you maybe post a picture of what your book looked like? I'm curios to see how you did yours.
