Caden turned five while we've been here in Vegas, without Scott, so we are celebrating his birthday a few times. My mom, Cortney and I took him to Toys R' Us to pick out his own birthday presents since none of us had done our shopping yet (terrible, huh? We did keep a few surprises for him though). He loved it and just had to have Halo Mega Blocks and argued with me every time I tried to show him anything that was not Halo or Star Wars. He's fiercely independent and stubborn at five years old! We took him to his favorite place for lunch, In and Out and later had dinner at Jason's Deli with the family where he was spoiled with money, Wii games and a gift card, which he thinks is the best thing ever. We finished off the night at the Maxfield's where he was given more Legos which he was thrilled about.
He kept asking where his cake was and I kept telling him we were waiting for his dad to get into town so he could watch Caden blow out the candles. Caden did not like this answer and told me I was a "naughty mom" and I better make a REALLY BIG CAKE so he would be happy.
He can hardly wait for Scott to join us so he can get spoiled a little more.

Dan & Liz - Nope, no Jedi training. He was napping when we passed it and I don't think his fascination with it started until a few weeks ago. I have no idea where it came from.
It's crazy how fast they grow up! Glad he had a good birthday!
