Day 4

It was crazy hair day at Caden's school. We buzzed his head a few weeks back so there wasn't much we could do. He was a bit disappointed, but plans to make up for it with crazy socks tomorrow.

Trying to plan a family vacation the week before Christmas for all of the adults on my side of the family. We can only go for 4-5 days so we won't run into trouble trying to leave our kids for too long. Here's our criteria....in the states, warm and not too crowded with plenty of things to do. Any suggestions? At the moment I am looking into Miami or other parts of Florida but I don't know much about that state. Is it a good vacation?

Cleaned house. Laundry. Designed a few projects (Christmas card orders already).

Watched Star Wars with the kids. I've never seen a single one of them. Don't see what all the hype is about.

Made eggs and french toast for dinner.

Physique 57. One Tree Hill.

Read a bit from The Kite Runner, so far, so good.

On my way home yesterday I drove on my favorite road here in town and passed by one of my favorite houses. I snapped a quick photo of them so you could see why I love it here. I adore this quaint, little town.

That's my favorite too!! So pretty in the fall.

I can't really think of any place fun and warm for adults in the states. So sad. I think NY would be fun to see before Christmas but it would be pretty cold. I hear AZ has some great shopping but the boys would probably hate that...golf for them maybe?

Florida is fun I went there every year in January in college; however weather can be funny sometimes rainy at that time of the year! But it's fairly warm overall! I think Miami would be fun!

No ideas for warm place in the states. But Kite Runner is an amazing book!! Then you need to read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author. Awesome!

Went to Miami in July last year...hated it. I know it is not July now, but here is how I would describe Miami. Let's say Las Vegas (the stereotype anyway) and Cuba had too much rum punch one night and things went a little too far. Miami is their not so well behaved love child. I felt quite uncomfortable while I was there. It is my only exoerience and I am sure there are better places to go. I stayed at Lowe's in South Beach. Hotel was BEAutiful and so was the beach, but the rest was just raunchy.
