Rise and Shout...

We had an incredible opportunity as a family back in November. My parents were invited to "Light the Y" at a BYU football game. It's not the actual "Y" on the mountain they light, just a pre-game ceremony where the "Y" is lit up on the score board in the stadium. My mom and dad have been blessed and have had the opportunity to contribute their time, talent and resources to BYU the past couple of years, so they received this honor. We were all invited to go with them, minus the Sorensen's (too cold and too long of a drive for the them).

It was a very cold day, and we were ready to sit outside in Dad's seats, but we were surprised with a box to sit in. I wish all the games were like that. We were really spoiled. The box also had a "special" concession stand, along with a sundae order form for half time. The kids all thought they had died and gone to heaven, okay the adults too.

The family was invited down to the field before the game started while my parents did their thing, Cosmo came over and played with the kids and after the lighting of the "Y" we got to stay on the field for the player's tunnel run.

After all of that excitement, we headed back up to our warm, cozy box where we enjoyed the rest of the game and stuffed our faces with junk food.

I'm not much of a football fan, but if it were always like that, I think I could learn to love the game!

(I stole these photos from my sister's blog since I didn't have my camera there. I also stole a lot of her words since I am too lazy to write it up myself. Thanks "E".)

I've done box seats for some sports and after that I thought this is really the only good way to do sports with kids! let them run around while you enjoy So fun!
