And We're Back...

Our first week back in Midway has been busy but oh so nice!

We were welcomed back with an incredible rain and thunderstorm which left beautiful weather for the remainder of the week. One of my favorite things about this place is opening up the windows/doors first thing in the morning and letting the fresh air and cool breeze wander through the house. We've spent our days unpacking, organizing, stocking the house with groceries, swimming, playing outside and getting ready for Scott to start his LAST year of school.

One of my favorite things to do is take the kids to campus which we were able to do on Thursday. At the risk of sounding cliche, there really is something unique about the BYU campus and I love the feeling I get when I walk the grounds. I love the perfectly maintained grass and gorgeous flowers that are everywhere. I also love the family friendly atmosphere and how comfortable I feel taking my kids there and letting them explore. Caden loves campus too, but for different reasons. He likes visiting the Wilkinson Center and getting ice cream which is a MUST whenever we visit daddy at school.

We were also pleasantly surprised to discover we have new neighbors on BOTH sides of us. Last year there were no kids in our neighborhood for Caden to play with and now there are two cute families living so close with kids the same age as our children. We've already made nice with one family sharing great conversation, fun on the swings and popsicles. Caden is one happy boy!

I've missed this place. I miss my family and friends back home in Vegas, but it sure feels good to be back.

I also love the feeling of opening up the windows and smelling rain or even just the fresh air....you can't do that in vegas. It's either too hot or muggy and smells like polution.

I guess there are some pro's about Utah. :)
