Woo Hoo! Half way there! I've made it through one week without Scott and it actually hasn't been that bad (knock on wood).
We've been busy today.
Physique 57 bright and early this morning. Have I blogged about this before? I got tired of running and my typical workout routine a few months back and I kept hearing great things about Physique. Kelly Rippa does this work out and I figured her body is amazing why wouldn't I want that? Well, it turns out we all can't have Kelly Rippa bodies, but I have been happy with the workout and the results. There's so many things I love about it...
- I do it in my front room. No need to spend money and time on a gym.
- Not a lot of equipment needed. A set of small weights, a playground ball (comes with it) and a yoga mat (which I don't really use).
- It hurts like heck while you are doing it, but you feel amazing the rest of the day.
- There's a 30 min. one for the days when you just need to fit something in and an hour one for days when you have the time.
There's so many more reasons why this is my new favorite routine, but you'll have to trust me. You should try it.
I was lucky enough to help with Caden's class party today. The kids had a lot of fun and it was fun for me to see how excited they were to play the games, make the crafts and get loaded up on sugar.
During Abbie's nap, I got a short nap too! This never happens, but today I felt my body telling me to slow down, so I did. It felt so good!
Pumpkin carving and sugar cookies filled our afternoon and evening. I tried a new recipe and am pretty impressed with it. The recipe calls for lemon zest in the cookies and whipping cream in the frosting. They are a fluffy, light and fresh version of a sugar cookie. You can find this recipe on my recipe blog (link on the right hand side).
Bed time for me. I volunteered to clean the church in the morning. Last time I got stuck scrubbing the urinals. Let's hope I have better luck tomorrow.
Night.
